Today’s challenges are often complex, involving the intersect of agribusiness, innovation, education and capability building, industry and regional development. Agribusinesses not only have to produce high quality products efficiently while sustainably managing their natural resources, but also understand and navigate their markets and value chains. These are all increasingly globally focussed. People remain core to success, while innovation and collaboration are important to transform efficiencies and productivity gains. They also underpin traceability, authenticity, assurity of food safety and environmental, social and governance (ESG) accountability which are increasingly demanded by consumers and the marketplace.
I take a collaborative approach to work with agrifood businesses, organisations and communities to develop the capability to adapt and embrace future market needs and opportunities.
With a background in dairy science, innovation and industry development I have a strong passion for combining contemporary innovation approaches for regional development and sustainable food production.

I bring 20 years’ experience across the agrifood ecosystem of science, education, R&D, industry and digital developments, the public and private sectors and (international) marketplace development to better connect and advance our food producers, value chains and industries. Often I fill the key gap of ‘translator’.
I’ve developed significant expertise across dairy and niche dairy operations, and while these remain a specialty, I’ve found the principles apply across broader agrifood sectors, businesses and regional development.
